ALL our packages include Airport Transfers and all Transfers during your stay with us.

From the moment you arrive at Durban Airport [or other pick-up points as required], we will be there to meet you and we take care of all transfers & local transport during your stay, including getting to Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique local restaurants, bars & excursions etc.

ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge, South Africa is situated 80kms south of King Shaka International Airport [DUR], Durban's International Airport and 50kms south of Durban, South Africa.

ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge in Mozambique is situated 25-minutes North of the South Africa / Mozambique border [Kosi Bay / Kwangwanase / Farazela]. There are NO roads from the border we change into 4x4 vehicles and transfer to Ponta Do Ouro.

Transport is always available at our dive lodges, there is NO reliable local Taxi service.

If you are self-driving [directions below] you can follow the vehicle or make your own way.

Flights & Airport Transfers

Our packages include all transfers from Durban International Airport.

There are many daily flights to Durban International Airport [KSIA / DUR] from Johannesburg [JNB] or Cape Town [CPT] and some are direct international flights. Emirates Airlines fly direct into Durban [via Dubai] and is a good option for divers due to the 30kg luggage allowance, most internal flights allow 20kgs.

Arrival Day : Day-1 of your package

Flight can arrive at anytime between 12-noon and 18:30 [6:30PM].

Due to logistics flights need to arrive by 18:30 [6:30PM].

Please Note : If your flight is delayed, please contact us so we can re-arrange your transfer!

Departure Day : Final Day of your package

Please Note : On the final day of your package you will arrive at Durban Airport at 15:00 [3PM].

Domestic / International Flights need to be planned accordingly to allow for check-in requirements of the airline!

If you require additional accommodation we can arrange the accommodation for you.

Directions to ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge

Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique

Our packages include ALL transfers during your stay with us so you don't need to worry about how you will be getting to Ponta Do Ouro, however if you are wanting to use your own car, you can leave your car in the secure parking at the South Africa / Mozambique border. The road from the border requires a 4x4 vehicle. The cost of the parking is approx R40 per day.

Durban to the Kosi Bay / Farazela Border.

Take the N2 Toll road North past Ballito and Richards Bay and Empangeni and continue until the Hluhluwe / Sodwana Bay off-ramp - [approx. 2.5 hours from Durban]. At the top of the off-ramp go RIGHT [over the N2]. Continue through the town of Hluhluwe, following the Sodwana Bay signs. After the town, turn RIGHT over the train tracks and continue straight to Mbazwana [approx 1 hour]. At Mbazwane continue straight through the traffic circles, following signs for the Kosi Bay / Kwangwanase / Farazela Border. When you come to two traffic circles, turn RIGHT at the second one towards Manguzi [Kwangwanase]. When you go through Manguzi, you are about 15-mins from the Border. If you are using the parking, it's on the LEFT about 200-meters before the border.

Johannesburg to the Kosi Bay / Farazela Border.

Take the N12 N12 through Witbank and Middelburg before taking the Hendrina off-ramp. Travel via Hendrina, Ermelo, Piet Retief and Pongola. Keep driving until you see the sign for Jozini, go through Josine and after the town turn LEFT and cross over the Jozini Dam Wall. After Josini, when you reach the T-Junction turn RIGHT and continue towards Manguzi [Kosi Bay / Kwangwanase / Farazela Border]. When you go through Manguzi, you are about 15-mins from the Border. If you are using the parking, its on the LEFT about 200-meters before the border.

From Mozambique Border to Ponta Do Ouro [South Africa / Mozambique border]

We take care of all transfers from the border to Ponta Do Ouro if you don't have a 4x4 or would prefer not to drive on the sand.

It is essential that you have a 4x4 vehicle as there are NO roads from the border. When you cross the border into Mozambique turn RIGHT and follow the sand tracks Ponta Do Ouro [approx. 25-mins]. When you get to the large white house turn RIGHT and proceed to Ponta Do Ouro. When you pass through the market go up the hill and turn RIGHT at the first road. Where the road splits, keep LEFT and ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge is on the left just after the split.

Directions to ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge

Aliwal Shoal, Umkomaas, South Africa

Our packages include ALL transfers during your stay with us, we will meet you at Durban Airport when you arrive. If however if you are wanting to arrive by car, we have plenty of parking at ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge.

Arriving by road from the North [Durban side]

ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge is situated 50kms south of Durban and about 50-minutes south of Durban International Airport. Heading SOUTH on the N2, take the Mnini / Umgababa [Junction 128] off-ramp. At the top of the off-ramp turn LEFT towards to ocean. Continue straight to the Stop Street [T-Junction] and turn RIGHT. Continue straight along the road with the ocean on your left for 9.4km. As the road leave the ocean, you go under a bridge and you will see a TOYOTA Garage and a BP petrol station on your LEFT. Turn LEFT at the petrol station into Rozel Road. Follow the road to the right and ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge is the 3rd property on the left [3A St. Helier Road].

Arriving by road from the South [Port Shepstone side]

ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge is situated 50kms south of Durban and about 50-minutes south of Durban International Airport. Heading NORTH on the N2, take the Scottburgh off-ramp. At the top of the off-ramp turn RIGHT towards to ocean. Continue straight to the Stop Street and turn LEFT. Continue along this road for approx. 10-km until you see the BP service station on your right, turn RIGHT just before the BP service station into Rozel Road which will become St Helier Road. ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge is 3rd property on the left [3A St. Helier Road].
