We encounter Tiger Sharks in both Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique & at the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa.
In Mozambique we often encounter Tiger Sharks whilst scuba diving on the Pinnacles and also sometimes on Atlantis Reef.
In South Africa we create an odour corridor with bait to attract the Tiger Sharks.
Tiger Sharks are very shy, they are also very inquisitive and intelligent animals which is why they deserve the highest respect.
In Mozambique we also often get to dive with Tiger Sharks mainly on the deeper reefs.
What makes the Tiger Shark Diving in Mozambique even more special is that we don't need to bait the waters to scuba dive with Tiger Sharks.
There is an on going Tiger Shark tagging project in Ponta Do Ouro which helps us to understand the movements and behaviour of these amazing animals.
The Tiger Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks and Bull Sharks are the main species found whilst scuba diving on the reefs of Ponta Do Ouro in Mozambique.

Our baited Tiger Shark scuba diving takes place on the southern end of the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa. We start the baiting either on the southern point of the Aliwal Shoal or on a reef called Castle depending on the direction of the current.

We create an odour corridor to attract the Tiger Sharks as well as other species before entering the water to dive with the sharks. Before the Tiger Shark Dive, we will give a full briefing to help you to understand their behaviour and how we behave in return. Tiger Sharks are very shy, they are also very inquisitive and intelligent animals which is why they are one of the ocean's apex predators and deserve the highest respect.
As well as Tiger Sharks we also see Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks and sometimes other species including Bull Sharks [known locally as Zambezi Sharks] and even the odd Hammerhead Shark whilst scuba diving.
