Shark Diving Package No.1
10-day / 9-night Shark Diving Adventure
South Africa & Mozambique
Day 1 : Arrive Durban International Airport -- Transfer to & Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge, South Africa.
When you arrive at Durban International Airport [KSIA / DUR] [or other pick-up points as required], we will meet you and
transfer you to ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge which is situated in the diving town of Umkomaas about 80km from Durban
International Airport and about 50kms south of Durban. Flights can arrive anytime between 12-noon and 18:30 [6:30PM].
When you arrive at the scuba diving lodge, you will be checked into your room, spend the day relaxing on the beach or around the
pool and get to meet the team. In the late afternoon we will give you a briefing about the shark diving at the Aliwal Shoal &
the Tiger Shark Diving that you will experience whilst Shark Diving in South Africa.
In the evening enjoy dinner at the lodge or at one of the local restaurants [we will provide transport].

Day 2 : 2 x Shark Dives South Africa -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge, South Africa.
We meet for breakfast before moving down to the on-site dive centre to kit-up and prepare for the diving.
Today the scuba diving takes place on the Aliwal Shoal in South Africa. The first scuba dive will give you a chance
to get your dive gear & weights sorted out. The Aliwal Shoal is rated as one of the best scuba diving sites in the world for shark diving and we aim to
show you as many species of shark as possible including Tiger Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks,
Guitar Sharks & Whitetip Reef Sharks.
After the scuba diving we return to the dive lodge where there are hot showers and a secure wet-room to store your gear,
ready for the next days shark diving. In the afternoons if the conditions allow we offer extra scuba diving or relax at the lodge,
walk on the beach or visit local attractions.
In the evening enjoy dinner at the lodge, we have many B.B.Q. [known locally as a braai] nights or have dinner at one of the local

Day 3 : 1 x Shark & 1 x Tiger Shark Dive South Africa -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge, South Africa.
After breakfast we meet at the dive centre to kit-up and prepare for the days scuba diving which starts with a launch
from either the Umkomaas River or Umkomaas Beach depending on the tide and conditions.
The first scuba dive today is on the Aliwal Shoal with the many species of shark including
Tiger Sharks, Ragged Tooth Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Guitar Sharks & Whitetip Reef Sharks.
The second scuba dive will be a baited Tiger Shark Dive. Our baited Tiger Shark Dives
take place on the southern end of the Aliwal Shoal. Whilst the main focus is on scuba diving with Tiger Sharks, we also often get other
species of shark joining us on the dives including Blacktip Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Bull Sharks and sometimes other species.
Before the Tiger Shark Dive, we will give a full briefing to help you to understand their behaviour
and how we behave in return. Tiger Sharks are very shy, they are also very inquisitive and intelligent animals which is why they are one
of the ocean's apex predators and deserve the highest respect. We create an odour corridor to attract the Tiger Sharks

Day 5 : Transfer to Mozambique -- 1 x Scuba Dive Ponta Do Ouro -- Overnight ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge, Mozambique.
Today we depart early and head north to ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge in Mozambique. The journey takes us through the heart
of Zululand offering some awesome sights along the way [you may even get to see giraffe, zebra etc.
At the South Africa / Mozambique border, we will help you to arrange your Mozambique Visas and then we transfer into 4x4 vehicles
as there are no roads from the Mozambique border - and so the Mozambique part of your adventure begins.
Ponta Do Ouro is a small village situated on miles of sandy beaches, it has a very chilled atmosphere with many small market
stalls and some awesome restaurants and bars. ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge is in the centre of the village with awesome
views over the ocean and access to the beaches. When we arrive at ScubaAddicts Dive Centre & Lodge in Mozambique, you will be checked
into your rooms.
After lunch we kit-up and head off to scuba dive the reefs of Ponta Do Ouro in Mozambique. The reefs are home to a huge diversity
of marine life including Sharks, Whales, Dolphin, Turtles, Rays, Eels, Game Fish, Reef fish & much more.
In the evening enjoy a meal at either our dive lodge or one of the local restaurants in Ponta Do Ouro.

Day 6 : 2 x Shark & Reef Scuba Dives Ponta Do Ouro Mozambique -- Overnight Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique.
After breakfast we meet at the dive centre to kit-up our dive gear before heading to the beach to launch the boat for
two scuba dives on the reefs of the Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli. On the way to the dive sites we look out
for Whales and Dolphin.
Our focus during your stay is scuba diving the deeper reefs of Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli which offer some of
the best scuba diving in the world. The main shark species that we scuba dive with including Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead
Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks and Whale Sharks.
We have also seen other species of shark from time to time including Great White Sharks, Java Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Dusky Sharks,
Nurse Sharks, Guitar Sharks and we have even had a Ragged Tooth Shark which we normally see in South Africa.
The reefs are home to a huge diversity of other marine life including Whales, Dolphin, Turtles, Manta Rays,
Devil Rays, Eagle Rays, Ribbontail Rays, Eels, Game Fish, Reef fish & more

Day 7 : 2 x Shark & Reef Scuba Dives Ponta Do Ouro Mozambique -- Overnight Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique.

After breakfast we meet at the dive centre to kit-up our dive gear before heading to the beach to launch the boat for
two scuba dives on the reefs of the Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli. On the way to the dive sites we look out

After the diving we head back to the border before transferring to Safari Lodge in St Lucia. Relax at the lodge
or enjoy a meal at the dive lodge or at one of the local restaurants. Overnight Safari Lodge, St Lucia, South Africa
Day 10 : Airport Transfer to Durban International Airport.
After breakfast we head south to Durban International Airport where we will bid you farewell until the next time!
Please Note : On the final day of your package you will arrive at Durban Airport at about 15:00 [3PM].
Domestic / International Flights need to be planned accordingly to allow for check-in requirements of the airline!
If you cannot get suitable flights, we can help you to arrange overnight accommodation.
Other transfers can also be arranged.
